Independence Day

The Independence Day, July 4th, is a great holiday memory in the U.S. for me. I went to Olympic park to watch the beautiful firework with my friends. When I arrived there, there already had a lot of people waited the firework in the park. Many children played water in the fountain. Many families picnicked on the grass and talked to each other. There was much food’s smell in the air. We brought coke, cake, BBQ chicken, and some fruit. We played card when we waited the firework. Actually, this situation is not common in my country. Taiwanese don’t like to picnic because the air is not good in Taiwan. I was so excited to have this kind of experience. Around 9:30pm on July 4th, the firework started. You could see people smiled when the beautiful fireworks shoot off in the sky. Everyone enjoyed at that time and won’t forget the meaning of holiday. I may not in the U.S. next year, so I special treasured this memory.

Describe your hometown

Zhang-hua, my hometown, is a very beautiful city in Taiwan. I still remembered the flower's aroma when I was in Zhang-hua . There are many farmlands of the flowers near my house. I always could smell the flower's aroma when I woke up in the morning, and also could see many colors and kinds of the flower from my window. Sometimes, there were some butterflies around me when I was reading a book in the garden. Zhang-hua is not a big city, but it has a lot of histories. The old bulidings on the street include many stories about Taiwan. There are many temples, so the tourists always go to Zhang-hua on the weekend. The archaic temples even are historic monuments, which the government pays money to preserve. Zhang-hua also is a fruit city, you can find many fruit in the tranditional market. Even some friut that you had never seen before. Zhang-hua is a wonderful place, so if you go to Zhang-hua, I will show you the all of the places.

Tell about something bad that actually turned out good in the end.

I will never forget the first time I met my best friend, Jamie, near the school. The day was a nice weather in 2006. I decided to play basketball in the gym in the morning. I rode my motorcycle near the school. I had a traffic accident with Jamie on the road. She hurt her leg and her motorcycle was broken. I called my friend, Jackie, gave us a ride to go to hospital. I took care her in the hospital all night. I was very worried about her leg, and I thought she was brave. Even she was painful, she never cried at the time. I talked with her all night in the hospital. We found her hobby is similar to me. We like basketball very much. Actually, she wanted to play basketball in the morning, too. We had a deal to play basketball when her leg was completely restored. We often met after the accident. Finally, we have become the good friends after the accident.

PETS

A-di, my second dog, was my favorite pet. A-di was born in 1996. I lost my first dog in the same year. I was very sad, and cried many days. It was a diffcult thing to have a pet in my family because my grandparent don't like pet. I spent much time to talk with them, and permit me to have a dog. I thought I might not have another dog any more, but they gave me a second dog, A-di, which is my favorite forever. He was not a beautiful dog because he always got his body dirty. My friends even told me that A-di was vagrant dog, not a pet, but he was very smart. One day, my family went to bed early at night. There was a thief opened the window of our house, and wanted to steal something in my house. A-di found him and bit him. He also barked loudly, and woke we up at that night. Finally, the cap caught the thief up. I took a tip with my parents few years ago. We went to a city, which is far from my home. Someone stole A-di when we on the trip, but A-di ran away from the thief's place and found way to go home. Even he didn't know the road. Although A-di died in 2006, he is my favorite a pet forever and lives in my heart.
